Abstract

Dialectical behavior therapy is a new method of cognitive behavior psychotherapy developed from traditional behavior therapy,which was established by Doctor Marsha M Linehan,a professor in Washington State University in U.S.,in the Early 1990s.Dialectical behavior therapy based on dialectic principles emphasizes the application of dialectical training and strategies between patients and therapists,rationality and perception,acceptance and change.Its therapy strategies include dialectic strategy in the course of treatment,rationalization identification strategy,and cheerleading encouragement strategy and so on.This thesis takes a patient with borderline personality disorder as an example to specify the application of dialectic behavior therapy strategy.
