Abstract

[Objective] The objective of the research was to study floral organ morphology and configuration of cultivated Rhodiola sachalinensis.[Method] Floral organ structures of different sexual plants in R.sachalinensis were compared and studied in detail.[Result] R.sachalinensis had three types of sex types including female plant, male plant and monoecious plant. The monoecism plant was the same plant type with male flower and hermaphrodite flower.Different stalk of monoecism plant had two inflorescences of male flower and hermaphrodite flower, and there were different ratios of male flowers to hermaphrodite flowers in hermaphrodite inflorescence. The cardinal number of pistil carpel was 4,the cardinal number of stamen anther was 8,and the variation types of pistil carpel and stamen anther number in hermaphrodite flowers were more than that of low unisexual flower.[Conclusion] This study provided the theoretical basis for further studying mechanism of sexual differentiation, sexual usage and reproductive biology of R.sachalinensis.
