Abstract

The resistances of 918 rice varieties planted in Hubei province to bacterial blight were identified and evaluated under field inoculation in 2005-2012. The results showed that the percentage of resistant varieties was 9.37%. Percentage susceptible varieties was 90.63%. The proportion of susceptible varieties was more than that of resistant varieties. The morbidity of control materials in regional test was 95.33%. The resistance of susceptible control materials reached susceptible or highly susceptible levels with the stable morbidity. It laid foundations for identifying resistance of rice varieties to bacterial blight. The condition and developing tendency of the resistance rice varieties to bacterial blight during the eight years was clarified. It will provide reference for the reasonably layouting new rice varieties and breeding rice variety with resistance to bacterial blight in Hubei province.
