Effects of Morphometric Traits on Body Weight in 3 Age Taimen(Hucho taimen)

The relationships between morphometric traits and body weight in 3 age taimen(Hucho taimen)were analyzed by correlation analysis,path analysis and multiple regression.The results showed that all the correlation coefficients of each morphometric trait to body weight were at very significant level(P0.01),with the correlation coefficient at 0.961 for total length,0.969 for body height,0.651 for eye diameter,and 0.547 for caudal peduncle length.The path coefficients were also found very significant level(P0.01),and the total length showed the significant effect on the body weight,followed by body height,eye diameter and caudal peduncle length.The correlation index for the 4 traits to body weight was 0.980,and the multiple regression equation relating to the body weight was established as Y=-2777.45+167.485X3+50.90X1-53.46X7+145.56X6,where y is body weight,X1 total length,X3 body height,X6 eye diameter,and X caudal peduncle length.
