Abstract
Objective To study the effect of Ceriops tagal extract(Tagalsin) on expressions of bcl-2 and p53 genes in tissue of subcutaneous transplanted tumor(STT) of human ovarian cancer in nude mice, and explore the intervention of Tagalsin on ovarian cancer. Methods Mouse models of STT of human ovarian cancer were created and divided into four groups as follows: blank control, cisplatin,Tagalsin and Tagalsin + cisplatin. After successive medication, the growth of STT in each group was observed regularly. The Bcl-2 and P53 expression levels were detected by immunohistochemical and RT-PCR.Results Tumor vo-lume of medication groups was significantly smaller than that in the blank control group,of which, the smallest one was noted in Tagalsin+cisplatin group, the difference was of statistical significance(F=59.31,q=2.47-9.66,P0.05).Compared with the blank control, the Bcl-2 expression in each medication group obviously declined, and P53 elevated, most obvious changes were no-ted in Tagalsin+cisplatin group(u=3.425-9.652,P0.05),the differences of Bcl-2 and P53 between Tagalsin and cisplatin groups were not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion It is probably that through regulating the expressions of oncogene and tumor suppressor gene that Tagalsin plays antitumor action,a combination of Tagalsin and cisplatin can markedly enhance its tumor-depressing effect.
