Abstract

The genus Apanteles is the common parasitoid of a variety of lepidopterausinsects and is considered as an important natural enemy of a number of species of crop pests. Six species of Apanteles are reported in this paper, three of which are desribed. The authors divide the six species into two species—group on the basis of Nixon's systemic system (1965) . The distributions of the species and the host record are given. The morphological difference between Apanteles chilonis [ Munakata ] and Apanteles flavipes ( Cameron ) are described. All specimens reported in this paper are deposited in the insect collection of Hunan Agricultural College.
