Abstract
Based on the theory that urban industrial structure affects the urban land layout and spatial form, and that the adjustment of urban industrial structure will certainly result in the variation in urban land use structure, this essay analyzes fully the variation of industrial structure of Wuhan city from the 1970s and also the variation in urban land use structure, land layout and urban spatial form during the same period. The research result indicates that the variations of urban land use structure and land layout were affected by urban industrial structure. It also indicates that there are certain issues in the process of evolution of urban land layout and spatial form, and proposes some solutions to them. Finally the article anticipates the new trend in Wuhan Municipal industrial development and industrial structure adjustment as well as in variation of urban land structure and spatial form, concluding that the trend for Wuhan Municipal urban spatial forms should be developed from the circular lager model to multicentered disperse model.
