Abstract

This paper evaluates the industrial eco-efficiency based on data envelopment analysis(DEA) model by using panel data of 30 provinces in china from 2003 to 2008.Tobit regression model is also introduced to analyze the factors influencing the efficiency in the second stage. The results show that regional industrial eco-efficiency in China is not optimistic, but industrial eco-efficiency is improved from 2003 to 2008.The industrial eco-efficiency of most provinces are lower, they have greater potential in respect of reducing resource inputs and environmental emissions. It shows that there are significant differences across provinces and regions by cluster analysis, and it is great significance to promote industrial technology exchange and cooperation among regions.Industrial R D investment and foreign capital play a positive role to regional industrial eco-efficiency,and there is not very significant positive relationship between industrial pollution control and industrial eco-efficiency.
