Abstract

Objective The establishment of simultaneous determination of total mercury and arsenic in water samples by hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry.Method At a certain acidity reaction of potassium bromate and potassium bromide bromine,so that the mercury in all digestion samples converted to inorganic mercury, and then potassium borohydride reduction of mercury into the atomic state.Arsenic in hydrochloric acid medium, potassium borohydride to arsenic into arsine achieved mercury in water, the simultaneous determination of arsenic, and various analytical conditions were optimized and discussed. Results The determination of mercury, arsenic recoveries were 98.1%-104.9%,98.6%-107.0%,and the detection limit of arsenic was 0.09μg / L,mercury 0.005μg / L.Conclusions The determination of mercury in water samples, arsenic with satisfactory results.
