Abstract

Under circumstances of actualizing globalization through regions, various types of FTAs signed in Asia in the past two years are considered measures to promote unification of regional economy. However, due to absence of an institutional framework for unification, these FTAs appear to show the dual directions of unification and decomposition.Consequently, unification at the regional level may not be realized in a near future.
