Abstract
Objective To study the cervical vertebrae posture and the development of craniofacial of patients before and after growth spurts with Angle Class Ⅱ Malocclusion. Methods 30 cephalometric radiographs of the patients with class Ⅱ malocclusion which in their growth peak period and 30 in their later peak period were selected to measure and analyzed the head position and the variance of the craniofacial structures. The sagittal growth of the with class Ⅱ malocclusion which in their growth peak period and in their later peak period were predicted. Results The cervical vertebrae posture indicators of SN- VEL,SN- CP,SN- OPT,SN- CVT and the variance of the craniofacial structures: SNA,SNB,ANB,Y axis of the patients with class Ⅱ Malocclusion before and after their growth spurts were statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion The craniofacial morphology and cervical vertebrae posture in class Ⅱ malocclusion patients in the process of the development is influenced.
