Abstract
The characters and seasonal changes of insect communities' structure in 4 habitats(Scirpus mariqueter Community(Sc.C),Phragmites australis Community(Ph.C),Spartina alterniflora Community(Sp.C) and bare flat(BF)) at Jiuduansha Wetland National Reserve were studied, the relations between salt marsh vegetation types and insect communities were also been discussed.Insects were collected from plants and ground. Results showed that insect communities' compositions and structures were closely related with plants: ①the composition and dominant species of insect communities in 4 habitats were different;②based on the whole, insect community's richness in Ph.C,Shannon-Wienner diversity index and Pielou evenness index in Sp.C were highest while Simpson dominance index was lowest in Sp.C;③individuals' total numbers in 3 communities were highest in summer and lowest in winter,④the correlation between litter biomass and insect individual numbers was significant(0.891,p0.01),but we couldn't find any relations between them in Sp.C as the litter biomass and insect collected from it in Sc.C were little, the relation could not be examined.
