Abstract
Objective:To observe the influence of reinforcing the kidney and invigorating the spleen to the expression of alcohol-induced Osteoporosis,Vitamin D receptor mRNA and to discuss the pathogenesis of AOP from the gene member level and reinforcing the kidney and invigorating the spleen according to Chinese medicine mechanism for prevention and cure. Methods: Divide forty adult male SD rats into four groups by means of random number table: model group, normal control group, western medicine control group and Chinese herbal medicine intervention group with ten rats in each group.Fill the stomach with liquor to make the mold(normal control group gave normal saline to fill stomach),separately feeding with normal saline,Calcium Carbonate alpha D3 and JianGuLing capsule.Sixteen weeks later,we measured the weight and checked the expression of Vitamin D receptor mRNA in small intestine tissue, transcriptase polymerase chain reaction. Results: By RT-PCR analysis showed that compared with normal group, model group VDR mRNA expression levels were significantly decreased(P0.01);compared with model group,Chinese medicine in the intervention group and Western medicine control group medication could significantly increase the level of VDR mRNA expression(P0.01) after 16 weeks;increasing level of traditional Chinese medicine in the intervention group was greater than that in western medicine control group(P0.05).Conclusion: Rats with AOP suffer bone metabolism disorder, which decreases bone formation and reduces bone loss and finally induces osteoporosis.Reinforcing the kidney and invigorating the spleen on the AOP rats can raise VDR mRNA expression in the small intestine organization, inhibit bone loss and promote bone formation, and effectively improve bone metabolism of the experimental AOP rats.
