Abstract
As one of the basis in embryo biotechnology and engineering research, the in vitro maturation of bovine oocyte had been extensively investigated since 1930's, the great progress had been achieved on in vitro growth, development, and cultural conditions of bovine oocytes. At present, although the in vitro maturation and culturing system of bovine oocyte had been established, the maturation mechanism of oocyte and maturation regulation remained unclear. The research advances of in vitro maturation technology in bovine oocyte were reviewed from the origin of bovine oocyte, the in vitro maturation condition, the improvement of culturing buffer and the maturation evaluation etc.
