Abstract
Micro-plasma oxidation is a new preparation technology of thin ceramic coating on the surface of some non-ferrous. The ceramic coatings possess some excellent capability of corrosion resistance, heat-strike resistance, wearlessness, electric insulation and so on. The development history of (micro)-arc oxidation technology, the process and the principle for growth ceramic coating, and coating properties of micro-arc oxidation were simply described in this paper, which pointed that the micro-arc oxidation was a new technology and have a bright prospect in application.
