Techniques of Wireless Positioning in Mobile Communication Systems

Abstract

Providing positioning service for mobile users is a basic function in future mobile communication systems. Applications of wireless positioning technology in the mobile communication,classification of positioning systems and schemes of positioning were described.Methods of positioning used and their features including suitable scope and limits were discussed.All kinds of factors which influence the precision of position locating were analyzed.Finally, the issues needed to be considering on positioning technology in communications networks and to be resolved on improving the precision of positioning are proposed.
