A General Review of the Putin Administration:Traits,Pros and Cons

Unlike Gorbachev and Yeltsin,both relying on abstract theories as blue-prints for socio-political reforms,Putin has set up a substantive goal,to build a strong Russia within the democratic and free-market framework,as the guiding principle for his administration.In general,Putin has adhered to the aforementioned goal and framework in the processes of policy formation and implementation.As a whole,Putin's strategies have exerted positive effects in the political,social and economic arenas.However,at the present moment,Putin has not been able to successfully promoted Russia to a position on a par with other advanced and wealthy industrialized nations in the West.
