Abstract
In the late Qing Dynasty, LIANG Qi-chao was not only a renowned politician and theorist, but also was known as a pioneer in the Chinese modern science who made tremendous contributions to the western modern science disseminated in China. This article has mainly studied the time background for the LIANG Qi-chao scientific thought and the role it played in the transformation of China’s tradition “literary charm study” to modern times “science”. It has analyzed the change course of LIANG Qi-chao’s scientific thought connotation as well as his viewpoint of scientific history and scientific research method characteristics.
