Abstract
The SWAN model is used to simulate typhoon waves on the coastal sea of Zhanjiang. The physic mechanism for the simulation of waves near-shore is discussed and the scheme is put forward to do with the boundary condition and the wind field that must be input into the wave model. Three times typhoon waves field is selected for analysis and description. Thus the main characteristics and the patterns of the distribution of typhoon waves field are obtained.
