Retrospection and prospection of fifty years of modern Wushu competition

Wushu competition is an important element pushing Wushu forward. Competitive Wushu benefits from perfect competition system and make great achievements. The traditional Wushu competition system has given more space to the traditional Wushu. The separation of (routines) from Sanshou competition is the necessary outcome that Wushu must meet the competition standards of the Olympics. In the tide of cultural globalization,the strategy of making Wushu one of the Olympic items is a correct choice. Traditional Wushu and competitive Wushu should develop coordinately. Traditional Wushu will be further developed after the Beijing Olympic Games.
