Discrimination between the Yi-ology and divination

Though there are countless ties between the Yi-ology and divination, there are fundamental differences between them. Historically, both of them originated from witchcraft. Theoretically, the Yi-ology mainly exposes the metaphysical Dao (Way), whereas divination techniques chiefly display physical manipulation in the application of the Yi jing. But divination techniques also embrace metaphysical philosophy. Now that Zhouyi originally was a book of divination, in the studies of the Yi-ology,we cannot make a detour to avoid discussions on divination.
