Abstract

Song Lian was one of the important Neo-Confucianists in early Ming Dynasty. He made detailed studies of works by famous scholars from pre-Qin to early Han dynasty. Confucianism can be divided into seven categories. Among them, the Confucianism of integrity is the what future generations should follow. All his analysis of Confucianism and particular attention to the Confucianism of integrity shows his political ideal of stressing Taoism.
