Effect of Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablet on Blood Pressure and Inflammatory Level in Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats

Abstract

Objective: From the intervention of inflammation to provide a theoretical basis for the Compound uncaria hypotensive tablet in the treatment and its effect of target organ damage in hypertension. Methods: 21 seven weeks old male SHR were randomly divided into 3 groups: SHR- S group,SHR- G group and SHR- D group and the other 7 WKY rats into normal control group. The blood pressure was determined by using instrument for measuring blood pressure in rats and the serum 1evels of CRP,TNF- αand IL- 6 were measured by ELISA after six weeks. Results: 1The effect on blood pressure: Since the beginning of the first week,SHR- G group's was lower than those of SHR- S group( P 0. 01),but significantly higher than those in SHR- D group and WKY group( P 0. 01) until the end of the experiment. Experimental blood pressure value comparison: SHR- S group's was elevated after treatment( P 0. 01). SHR- G group and SHR- D group's were decreased after treatment( P 0. 01). 2Effect on inflammatory factors in serum: SHR- G and SHR- D groups' serum levels of CRP,TNF- αand IL- 6 were lower in the SHR- S group and compared with the SHR-D group,SHR- G group's serum level of CRP was higher( P 0. 01) and serum levels of TNF- αand IL- 6 had no significant difference between the two groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion: 1 SHR blood pressure and inflammation level were significantly elevated. 2Compound uncaria hypotensive tablet has good antihypertensive effect. 3Tablets can effectively reduce the level of inflammatory of hypertension,which may be its mechanism of effectively lowering blood pressure and target organ damage prevention and its anti- inflammation mechanism remains to be further studied.
