High efficient combination of fire extinguishing technologies in forest fire fighting.

Abstract

Forest fire fighting is very important in Beijing.However,there are some weak links in forest fire fighting such as fire places cannot be approached rapidly,changes of fire cannot be detected and replied immediately,the lack of excellent equipments for fire fighting.The authors investigated the present condition of forest fire fighting in Beijing firstly,and established the management system of equipments for extinguishing forest fire based on the theory of modern forest fire and computer technology.A high efficient extinguishing fire system was established when fire extinguishing equipments with water were combined and optimized with critical technologies of aerial fire suppression and the global positioning system(GPS).The present study improved the abilities of rapid fire fighting and adjusting fire fighting plans according to the changes of fire scene,and it also increased the safety of personnel for fire fighting objectively.The management system of equipments for extinguishing forest fire is worthy of being applied and need to be further investigated and improved.
