Abstract
In order to study the architecture of GPS receiver and new positioning algorithm, the paper brought forward a design scheme of PCI-based GPS receiver. The paper also studied the principle of GPS system, composition of the GPS receiver, the performance and technical requirements of each part, then designed and realized the module of Radio Frequency(RF) front end, baseband signal processing module and PCI interface circuit. Moreover, the paper studied the whole designing process and choosing of components when designing. Finally,it completed the debugging of every module on the hardware platform and positioning experiment. The experiment results indicated that the designed GPS receiver worked well, whose longitude and latitude error were within ±1.1×10-4 degree, and ±4×10-5 degree, respectively, and altitude error was within ±8 m.In a word, the positioning precision has attained the desired target.
