Abstract

Objective Explore metformin to impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)with the clinical curative effect of intervention.Methods42 IGT patients were randomly divided into treatment group(21 cases)and the control group(21 cases),the general treatment were given to the patients in both groups, including diet intervention, exercise intervention and health education of diabetes. The treatment group were given additional Metformin 0.75 g/day.All the patients had been observed for 12 months. Before and after the treatment in patients with impaired fasting glucose monitoring(FBS)and postprandial glucose(PBS 2 h),body mass index(BMI),blood pressure(systolic blood pressure and diastolic SBP DBP),waistline.ResultsAfter 12 months of treatment group index, compared with controls, were statistically significant(P0.05).And there is no clinical development of diabetes,-And above all indexes group has no obvious improvement, four cases of development for clinical diabetic.ConclusionMetformin treatment in impaired glucose tolerance intervention is effective, and can effectively prevent or delay the occurrence of diabetes.
