Abstract
Classical swine fever virus(CSFV) and Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV) are the major causes of some serious reproductive diseases and co-infection is common. Therefore rapid and reliable diagnosis is crucial for effective prevention and treatment. In this study,a multiplex RT-PCR was developed using two-pairs primers designed according to conserved sequences in E2 fragments of CSFV and that in E fragments of JEV.PCR products of 508bp and 1015bp were obtained for respective viruses.Ten organ samples(lung, lumph, liver, spleen, etal) were respectively detected by the multiplex RT-PCR,out of which four were CSFV positive, three were JEV positive, the control samples were negative. The results showed that the multiplex RT-PCR of CSFV and JEV was a rapidly specific and sensitive diagnostic method.
