Research on Different Personnel Selection Systems and Performances of Jin-Merchants and Hui-Merchants in Ming and Qing Dynasties

Abstract

Jin-Merchants and Hui-Merchants were two important commerce groups in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Their success mainly depended on the unique personnel selection system.Meanwhile,different personnel selection systems brought the two commerce groups into different development path.This article used human capital theory to compare the differences of personnel selection systems and performances of Jin-Merchants and Hui-merchants in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Based on this,the author also analyzed the reason for different system choice and its influence.
