Abstract
Objective: To improve the recognition of nasopharyngeal carcinoma combined nasopharynx tuberculosis for clinicians. Methods: The data about 2 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma combined nasopharynx tuberculosis were analyzed retrospectively. The data about clinical manifestation, diagnosis and therapy were discussed and related literatures were reviewed too. Results: The clinical manifestation was correlated to its location and encroachment range.A definite diagnosis could be made by epipharyngoscope biopsy.2 cases were received anti-tuberculosis treatment then the radiotherapeutics treatment was performed respectively after 2 weeks and the dosage was 70GY∕35 times. The antituberculosis treatment was continued till to enough time of therapy simultaneously.Focus of infection in 1 case was complete regression after following 2.5 years and no recurrence. While to another patient, the lymph nodes of neck were remained after 3 months then the radical neck dissection was carried out and no recurrence following one year. Conclusion: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma combined nasopharynx tuberculosis was a rarely clinical disease. Its clinical manifestation was correlated to its location and encroachment range.Epipharyngoscope biopsy was an important method for making a definite diagnosis. The correct biopsy method and technique were a key point of success. It was a suitable treatment to these patients adopting anti-tuberculosis and radiotherapeutics therapy.
