Abstract
Objective:To study the expression and significance of NF-κB and Ki-67 in thyroid neoplasms. Methods:By using immunohistology, the expression of NF-κB and Ki-67 in 62 cases of thyroid cancer, 20 cases of thyrophyma and 10 cases of normal thyroid tissue was determined. Results:The expression of NF-κB and Ki-67 in thyroid cancer was obviously higher than that in thyrophyma and normal thyroid tissue (P0.01). The positive expression of NF-κB in thyroid cancer had relation with the pathological type of thyroid cancer. The positive expression of Ki-67 in undifferentiated thyroid cancer was clearly higher than that in differentiated thyroid cancer (P0.01). The positive expression of NF-κB and Ki-67 of the lymphatic metastasis group of the thyroid cancer was higher than that of non-metastasis thyroid cancer(P0.01). Conclusion:The expression of NF-κB and Ki-67 in thyroid cancer was enhanced clearly and can be used as the evidence of the differential diagnosis of the benign or malignant thyrophyma. NF-κB and Ki-67 has close association with the occurrence, development, metastasis and prognosis.
