Abstract
Northern Song Imperial Mausoleums lie in southwest of Gongyi,Henan Province.It is 12 kilometres in length from east to west and 13 kilometres in width from north to south,and covering an area of 160 square kilometers.The Northern Song Imperial Mausoleums include 8 emperors' tombs and 22 empresses' tombs,and nearly 1000 tombs of royalty and prime ministers.In 2006,these Mausoleums were listed as important great relics during the period of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan.The outstanding art achievements stand for past features of culture and laws system,the layout of the Northern Song Imperial Mausoleums represents for royal buildings or landscapes,which has a profound influence on the later generations.Based on the above analysis,it is suggested that application for world cultural heritage should be carried out to expand and enhance the boundless value and charm.
