Abstract

Objective To study the usefulness of the Orbscan-Ⅱ in the corneal posterior surface elevation examination for LASIK.Methods The 80 eyes of 41 cases was assessed using Orbscan-Ⅱ before LASIK and 1 month and 6 months after the operation. The corneal posterior surface elevation and the corneal power after LASIK were analyzed. Results The corneal posterior surface elevation before and after LASIK were statistically significant(P0.05).The changes of posterior surface elevation in high myopia were significantly more than that of mild-moderate myopia after LASIK(P0.05).The changes of posterior surface elevation correlated significantly with the △SEQ(r=0.404, P0.05;r=0.54,P0.05)1 month and 6months after LASIK.Conclusion The corneal posterior surface elevation examination using Orbscan-Ⅱ before and after the operation is very important for LASIK.
