On urban characteristics from urban culture

Abstract
Aiming at the similarities among cities in China,the paper explores the urban characteristics from the urban culture,indicates the types for the city culture and the urban characteristics,the relationship between them,and the fundamental problems for the decline of the city culture and the loss of the urban characteristics,so as to direct the design of the urban planning.
