Abstract
Aim To study the mechanism of matrine on hepatic fibrosis by the inhibition of proliferation of HSC-T6, synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Methods The effects of matrine on proliferation of HSC-T6 were observed by MTT colorimetric assay, synthesis of collagen was observed by the incorporation of 3 H-proline, synthesis of hyaluronic was detected by radioimmunoassay. Results Matrine inhibited the proliferation of HSC-T6,synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid in dose-dependent manner. Conclusion Matrine inhibited hepatic fibrosis by inhibition of HSC-T6 cell proliferation, collagen synthesis and hyaluronic acid synthesis significantly in vitro.
