Abstract
The degenerate primers designed from the conserved motifs in the NBS-LRR resistance gene analog(RGA) of various plants were used to amplify NBS-LRR RGA from wild relative of Ipomoea batatas,7 NBS-LRR RGAs were obtained according to cloning and sequencing,of which the amino acid sequence contained P-loop,Kinase-2,Kinase-3 and GLPL motif of the NBS-LRR RGA.Cluster analysis of the predicted amino acid sequences grouped the 7 RGAs of I.grandifolia and the known 10 NBS-LRR RGAs in NCBI database into two classes, between which the sequence similarity was low.It was deduced that the RGAs with high similarity belonged to one gene family.
