Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value of transvaginal sonography(TVS) and hysteroscopy(HS) in the causes of abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB). Methods:The data of TVS and HS of 246 patients with AUB were analysed and compared with the pathological results.Results:The sensitivity and specificity of TVS to the intrauterine cavity lesion were 88.9% and 57.1%,while those of HS were 100% and 90.9% respectively.Conclusion:The sensitivity of TVS and HS to the causes of AUB is high,but the specificity of HS is obviously higher than TVS.HS with biopsy is the gold diagnostic standard for the causes of AUB.
