Abstract
A semi-quantitatively microbial challenge test method(koko test) is introduced in this article,7 strains of bacteria,1 strain of yeast,2 strains of mould are chosen as representative challenging microorganisms, the preservative efficacy of 3 cosemetic products are estimated by this method, the preservative system is: 0.0095% methylisothiazolinone(MIT),0.2% methylparaben(MP),0.1% propylparaben(PP).Confirming with the test method of USP and CTFA,the koko test method showed the advantage of credible results and convenient operation within 28d experiments.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
