Abstract
Objective: The combined administration of omeprazole?claxithromycin and metronidazole with different courses of treatment was observed and compared the different efficacies in eradication of Hp.Methods: The 86 patients suffering from peptic ulcer with helicobactor pylori positive were divided into two groups randomly.Group A was administrated omeprazole 20 mg B.i.d clarithromycin 500 mg B.i.d and metronidazole 400 mg B.i.d for one week. After discharging, active peptic ulcer patients were treated only with omepraxzole 20 mg B.i.d for another week.Group B was administrated omeprazole 20 mg B.i.d,clarithromycin 500 mg B.i.d and metronidazole 400 mg B.i.d fo two weeks.Result: Endoscopies were performed one month later to access ulcer healing and Hp.eradication.Ulcer healing rate:Group A was 97.8%;Group B 97.5%.Hp eradication rate:Group A was 86.9%;Group B 90%(P0.05).There were no significant difference between Group A and Group B.Side-effect rate were 15.2%(Group A) and 30.0% (Group B) (P0.05).Conclusion: For the combined administration of omeprazole?clarithromycin and metronidazole, the short time of one week is better in the term of healing of ulcer and eradication of Hp.There was little side-effect and the patients accepted easily.
