On Marx's Preliminary Transformation of Hegel's Alienation

Abstract
Alienation was an important concept of Hegel's dialectics. Karl Marx had partly transcended Hegel's dialectics through the transformation of the concept of alienation in Economic and Philosophical Manuscript of 1844. Marx thought that the alienation of labor was not a historically or culturally mediated act, but a negative and undesirable form when analyzing economic social phenomena.
