Abstract
To investigate the effects of spout length on characteristics of swirl injector, the liquid film flow on the inner wall of the long spout swirl injector was been analyzed theoretically. With water as the simulating media, parameters of swirl injector with different spout length such as mass flow rate, sheet cone angle and axial velocity of liquid film were measured on the condition of different pressure difference by the high speed dynamic measuring system. In conclusion, with the increase of the spout length, mass flow rate of swirl injector will increase and the axial velocity and sheet cone angle will decrease. The empirical equations of the flow rate coefficient and the sheet cone angle were deduced, which can be used in the practical project as a reference.
