Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical therapeutic effects and complication of conventional fractionated and hypofractionated in three dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3DCRT) for advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). Methods 116 patients with NSCLC were divided into two groups randomly. The group A was treated of conventional radiotherapy 3DCRT. Radiation was given by 6MV X-ray,2.0Gy/F for 5 fractions a week to the total irradiation dose of 70 to 80 Gy. The group B was treated of hypofractionation 3DCRT at the totle dose 65 to 70 Gy in 4 to 6 Gy perfraction,3 time a week. Results The response rates(CR + PR) of group A(60 patients) and group B(56 patients) were 76.67%(46/60) and 87.5%(49/56). The median survival time(MST) were 18 and 17 months. 1-years survival were 81.6% and 82.4%. The incidence of acute radiation pneumonitis, late lung injury, esophagitis and bone marrow suppression were 15.00%(9/60),3.33%(2/60),13.33%(8/60),8.33%(5/60) in the group A and 30.36%(17/56),28.57%(16/56),25.0%(14/56),33.93%(19/56) in the group B. The difference between the two groups was significant(P0.05). Conclusion The conventional fractionated radiation therapy may be preferred for more patients of NSCLC. It decrease the lung and bone marrow suppression radiation injury.
