Abstract
In this article first discussing the defects of traditional PID model, aiming at nonlinear and uncertain time-delay objects, and analyzing the variation tendency of each PID section in different responsive curves. A nonlinear PID controller model was proposed. The controller used nonlinear proportional, nonlinear integral and nonlinear differential functions on error signal as proportional, integral and differential parameters of traditional PID controller. Finally a universal nonlinear PID controller model was established. The numerical simulation results of a second order system with step response show the superior performance of the nonlinear PID controller to a fixed gain PID controller.
