Clinical observation of the combination of the acupuncture and medication group to treat gout

Objective To observe clinical effect of the combination of the acupuncture and medication to treat gout.Methods Ninety-nine patients with gout were randomly divided into the acupuncture group,the medication group and the combination of the acupuncture and medication group by randomised method.Results The three groups were treaded 7 days and then observed,The difference of efficacy was statistically significant.The acupuncture group and the combination of the acupuncture and medication group( χ2=15.28,P0.01),the medication group and the combination of the acupuncture and medication group(χ2=12.28,P0.01),the combination of the acupuncture and medication group had more significant therapeutic effects than the acupuncture group and the medication group.Conclusion In the treatment of gout,the combination of the acupuncture and medication group has symptoms alleviated rapidly and less side effects and satisfactory therapeutic effect.
