Triterpenoids and steroids of Heteropappus semiprost Griers

Abstract

From the whole plant of Heteropappus semiprost Griers,eight triterpenoids and steroids are isolated.They are elucidated as friedelin-3β-ol-27-oic acid(1),friedelin-3-one(2),dammara-20,24-dien-3β-ol(3),dammaradienyl actate(4),α-spinalster(5),euphol(6),β-sitosterol(7) and stigmasterol(8) on the basis of spectral analysis(IR,MS,()~1H- and()~(13)C-NMR) and chemical methods.Except compounds(2) and(7),the others are isolated from this plant for the first time.
