Abstract

Experiment were carried out to study the effects of water and fertilizer coupling on plant growth, fruit quality and yield of tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) by using quadratic general revolving combination design with two factors. The results showed that regression correlations between irrigating water quota, fertilizer application quota and plant growth, fruit quality, yield of tomato were extremely significant, the regression correlations were reliable(F_(regression)F_(0.01(5,7))=6.1088),and effects of fertilizer application quota on plant growth, fruit quality, yield of tomato were more than that of irrigating water quota.A holistic optimum plan of water and fertilizer coupling for obtaining high yield and good quality of tomato fruit was put forward: irrigating water quota 2704.5~2836.95 m~3/hm~2,fertilizer application quota 265.5~309.64 kg/hm~2.The gained results can be used in the production of tomato in solar greenhouses.
