Abstract

This paper discussed the variation of phosphorus loss and impact factors from soil-runoff-sediment process. The results indicated that sedimentation has a positive correlation with rainfall. The rainfall density impacts obviously on soil erosion at no-vegetation plots. The runoff duration is mainly determined by soil moisture with negative relation. The rank of the concentration of dissolved phosphorus in the runoff is farmland orchard forest standard area grassland. The rank of the loss of particulate phosphorus of different land use is farmland orchard forest grassland. These trends were directly proportional to the soil phosphorus content.Loss of phosphorus is positive with vegetation, loss amount from no-vegetation plots is higher than that from vegetation plots.Runoff and sediment varied among different slopes. The maximal loss of phosphorus in the runoff was found in a range of critical slope degree between 15° and 20°.Soil phosphorus is mainly lost in particulate matter, carried by sediment at size of less 0.001mm.
