Analysis of Cost-effectiveness on Improving Equipment Interchangeability

Abstract

In order for analyzing the military and economic effectiveness of component interchangeability of the equipment, the formulae were derived that characterize the influence of the interchangeability of components and parts on the equipment availability and the acquisition expenses, and the military and economic benefit analyzed.Finally an example of calculation was given, providing a theoretical reference for evaluation of interchangeability benefit.
