Abstract
With the development and utilization of green energy-solar energy, polysilicon,as a raw material of photovoltaic battery is used more and more widely.Among the methods for producing polysilicon,Siemens is the most popular one. While producing trichlorosilane which is the raw material of preparing polysilicon,a large amount of silicon tetrachloride as by-products is also manufactured, which has serious pollution to the environment. So how to deal with these by-products has become an urgency problem to solve. Many methods for recycling silicon tetrachloride, such as making fumed silica, synthesizing organosilicon products, manufacturing high-purity optical fiber, reducing by zinc, etc. The best method is hydrogenation of silicon tetrachloride to prepare trichlorosilane.
