Abstract
The construction of the spatial cable plane self-anchored suspension bridge of Fumin Bridge in Tianjin was carried out by way of erecting the steel box girders of the bridge first and installing the main cables late.The steel box girder for the main span was erected by the pulling method by the waterborne platform and the girder for the side span was directly lifted to position by the large capacity crane.In this paper,the construction techniques for erection of the steel box girders of the bridge are mainly dealt with.
