A Review on Teacher Qualification System Research in China

Researchers generally believe that teacher qualification system is an important means that promotes the building of teacher troop,and improves teacher quality in China.However,its validity is affected by the qualification condition,qualification standard,timeliness,scalability,certificate settings,accreditation objects and other issues in the current system.So,some researchers suggest: To enhance the teacher qualification condition;To implement national teacher qualification test system;To establish the multi-dimensional certificate systems;To break the teacher qualifications lifelong system;To carry out re-accreditation of teacher's qualification.But the international experiences remind us: To raise the teacher qualifications standard will possibly aggravate the contradictory between teacher's supply and demand,and affect education equity;Although the teacher qualifications test is widely used,its validity is always suspected;The multi-dimensional certificate pattern is not better than the sole certificate pattern,and to choose which one pattern depends on our national educational development demands.Besides,their relation is very close between the teacher qualification system and the teacher educational system,so the teacher educational system should be considered to reform and consummate the current teacher qualification system.
